The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas), Makassar, and the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani (Unjani), Cimahi, signed a strategic cooperation agreement as fellow medical education providers at the FK Unjani campus in Cimahi, West Java, on Saturday (16/9/2022).
In his welcoming speech to the FK Unhas team, the Dean of FK Unjani, Dr. Sutrisno Sudjono, SH., MARS., said that FK Unhas is one of the leading medical faculties in Indonesia.
“Cooperation with FK Unhas is very important given its national reputation; currently five FK Unjani lecturers are pursuing doctoral (S3) studies at FK Unhas,” said Dr. Sutrisno.
Meanwhile, the Dean of FK Unhas, Prof. Dr. dr. Haerani Rasyid, Sp.PD-KGH, Sp.GK, welcomed the invitation from the Dean of FK Unjani to form a partnership in education and research.
“This partnership is expected to enhance the reputation of each university so that we can support one another in becoming globally competitive medical faculties,” Prof. Haerani concluded.
In addition to the signing of the MoU by the two faculty leaders, a public lecture was delivered by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, dr. Agussalim Bukhari, M.Clin.Med, Ph.D, Sp.GK(K), on Nutrigenomics Research and International Journal Publication for Lecturers and Students. The lecture was attended by hundreds of students and lecturers, both online and in person.
The event was also attended by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation of Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani, dr. Dewi Ratih Handayani, M.Kes; the Vice Dean for Partnerships, Research, and Innovation, Dr. dr. Andi Alfian Zainuddin, M.KM; and the vice deans and lecturers of FK Unjani.
