On Monday, 21 November 2022 at 13:21 WIB, a magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck with its epicenter 10 km southwest of Cianjur Regency, West Java.
The earthquake damaged houses, buildings, and shops, caused casualties — both injured and dead — and triggered landslides in several places. Teams from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) are currently collecting data, assessing victims and damage, and carrying out evacuations.
