On Saturday, 30 October 2021, the Pharmacology Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani (Unjani), held a webinar entitled ‘Education on the Use of Herbal Medicines for the Prevention and Treatment of Covid-19’
The webinar featured three speakers: Prof. Dr. I Ketut Adnyana from the School of Pharmacy, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), and Dr. Evi Sovia, dr., MSi and dr. Maman Djamaludin, Sp.FK., M.Kes from the FK Unjani Pharmacology Laboratory. The webinar was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Unjani, Dr. Sutrisno, dr., SH., MARS., MH.Kes, and hosted by MC dr. Iqbal Anugrah Fitriyanto. The presentation and discussion session was moderated by Dr. Welly Ratwita, dr., M.Kes from the FK Unjani Pharmacology Laboratory. Prof. Dr. I Ketut Adnyana presented the myths and facts about herbal medicines for the prevention and treatment of Covid-19, followed by Dr. Evi Sovia, dr., MSi, who discussed the safety of herbal medicine use. The final presentation was delivered by dr. Maman Djamaludin, Sp.FK., M.Kes, who introduced the classification of herbal medicines based on scientific evidence. The discussion, moderated by Dr. Welly Ratwita, dr., M.Kes, was lively. The event closed with a symbolic presentation of certificates by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Unjani, Dr. Sutrisno, dr., SH., MARS., MH.Kes, and a group photo session.
