On Saturday, 6 November 2021, the Pharmacology Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani (Unjani), held a webinar entitled ‘Education on the Use of Family Medicinal Plants for Degenerative Diseases’
The webinar featured three speakers: Prof. Elin Yulinah Iskandar and Prof. Afifah B. Sutjiatmo from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Unjani, and Dr. Enny Rohmawaty, dr., M.Kes from the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad). The webinar was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Unjani, Dr. Sutrisno, dr., SH., MARS., MH.Kes, and hosted by MC dr. Iqbal Anugrah Fitriyanto. The presentation and discussion session was moderated by Dr. Welly Ratwita, dr., M.Kes from the FK Unjani Pharmacology Laboratory.
The first speaker, Prof. Elin Yulinah Iskandar, presented on the use of family medicinal plants for the prevention and treatment of hypertension. The second presentation, by Prof. Afifah B. Sutjiatmo, discussed the use of family medicinal plants for the prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus. The final presentation, by Dr. Enny Rohmawaty, dr., M.Kes, covered the use of family medicinal plants for the prevention and treatment of dyslipidemia. The discussion, moderated by Dr. Welly Ratwita, dr., M.Kes, was lively. The event closed with a symbolic presentation of certificates by the chair of the organizing committee and a group photo session.
